Ponagar Tower

A unique Champa architecture built during the period of Hinduism (Hinduism) was at its peak; the Ponagar tower is one of them with the highest height – about 23m. Ponagar Tower is about 2 km north of the city center, in Vinh Phuoc ward. It is a prominent place in Nha Trang. Coming here, you can understand more about this land’s history and get a fantastic photo spot.

Besides, Ponagar Tower is also a famous tourist destination on Cu Lao Hill. This hill is about 10m high, close to the Cai river bank. The natural scenery here is beautiful, with the harmony of mountains and rivers giving visitors delightful experiences.

The word Ponagar in the name of Thap Ba tourist spot Ponagar Nha Trang means “mother country” translated into Cham language. The legend of Ponagar Tower comes from when this work was built around the 8th – 13th centuries. For the locals here, this goddess is the one who taught them to plow and sew. It is also why this work is so vital to the religious activities of local people in the beautiful land of Nha Trang.
